Hi,

The silver (rubber ended) parallel running boards for my 50th anniversary freelander have dropped off - reason being the attrocious brackets that corrode from the inside...

I cannot see how to buy new brackets without buying a kit. When I ordered a kit I was sent a black sculped set of boards NOT the 50th anniversary ones.

Infact without going to a dealer - massive quote - I cannot locate the brackets or indeed a complete running board kit that is the same as the ones originally fitted.

Any suggestions/thoughs?

Don't mind second hand as long as they stay on!!

Next stoip breakers yard I suppose..

Cheers,

Ian

I have had the same problem with my F'Lander 50th board mounts and have had a local steel fab shop make me 4 new ones powder coated for £100.00
As L Rover don't supply new ones seperately then this seemed like a good option.
Email me if you need some and I will pass the details on.

Andy,

Thanks for taking the time to reply.

In the end I traded it in without them being attached. The joke is the dealership could solve it for like £20 but would have charged an arm and a leg.

Hopefully someone else will see your reply and use that advice.

Cheers,

Ian
