I am about to change my Freelander

I have been looking for a low mileage sport but came across something I did not know they made
A 3 door hse ‍♂️
Can anyone explain the audio setup is it a satnav and will it have a sub and a CD change under the seat
And what other extras it might have other than a late sport as ? it’s got the HK speakers ( if they still work)

I didn't know they did a 3 door HSE either, but if they do and it's TD4 auto, then that is most definitely the one I'd want

The 3 door HSE is the same spec as the Sport Premium, so should be fully loaded with every standard goodie it could have, like heated leather seats, heated front screen, factory sat nav (pretty useless now), but will also have HK audio and the sub in the boot.
I prefer the 5 door, as it's just a bit more upmarket feeling over the 3 door.

It’s a manual with more miles than I would have liked but good condition I have left a deposit to pickup Thursday I will post pictures then
Gutted it as not the heated screen so no pre heater I suspect

No heated screen? I suspect the HFS became a cost option to save money later in production, as it used to be standard fit on the HSE spec.
When I was looking for my latest Freelander, the HFS is a must have, so I didn't consider vehicles not equipped.

Only seen the pictures but no switch on the dash so I doubt it as one
My opinions are limited up here as most are battered or been on the beech so best getting one from down country. this one is from Norfolk so hopefully not as harsh on cars as Cumbria
It’s the red one that most seem to have Lacquer peel and this one unless it’s had a complete re spray is excellent paint work so hopefully it 3 previous owners keep it in a garage fingers crossed

It is possible to retrofit the HFS if you want it. It's just potentially expensive to have installed. The electrics will likely already be in place, at least the dash electrics part. The relay, fuse box and under bonnet harness will need adding though.

I'd have a 3 door myself, which I'd like to convert to electric.
Unfortunately down my way, they're too expensive or beaten to crap.

I thought the HFS was part of the winter options pack, including the FBH, which could be specced on the SE and HSE.

Im sorry but shouldnt be a HSE on the side. But it looks 100000 pounds doughbut i guss its a sport one looking at the doors hmmmm

It's on standard height suspension, so it's likely an HSE which was optioned without the wing badges and possibly 18" wheels, although the 18s could have been fitted by a previous owner.
A Sport Premium has the same interior spec as the HSE, and 18" wheels but also has 30mm lower suspension, which is very obvious from the side, oh and it also has the "Sport System" decals on the doors, although those could also be deleted when ordering the car from new.

I bought a freelander sport New on a 04
I own a 56 sport
At the time I was look at them new I can’t remember there been a 3 door HSE‍♂️
as no one ever seen or own a 3 door sport as this is getting strange

It could be that was added .....but its strange
3 door and with those reems ( i know they could have been changed) are sport editions. HSE always bring the badge on the side, they could ve been removed....but why the car is in such good condition why take the badges? The font heater missing button (HSE base). The door covers are from a Sport. For me its not a HSE. But wow it looks good love the reems

That’s the worst bit on the bonnet but its on all most all the other panels
How they make it look that good in pictures is way above my skill set

Clear lacquer peel is a pain, but it's actually pretty easy to rectify. There's even videos on YT to show how it's done on a DIY basis.
I've done it in a few areas on the wife's old BMW. It's not a deal breaker for me if it's only in small patches on a few panels.
