2011 Freelander 2 2.2 diesel HSE TD4 Auto. Mileage 91500 miles no history on if it as had a gear box oil change.
I get a clunk when engaging forward drive, it is ok when going in to reverse and once in forward it drives ok.

Can the thread from @ TK MAX be moved to the Freelander section ? (I'm not sure how this is done) As I know it will get some answers/pointers in there.

You're welcome, hopefully your thread can be moved. I know the FL2 suffers from rear diff & haldex drive unit problems (amongst other drive line related parts) nearly always due to the silly LR 'recommended' service intervals/outright neglect.
If you click on the 'forums' tab it will list all the sections FL, Discovery, Range Rover etc so just click on the FL section & repost what you've put above, all the best.
