Freelander 2 SD4 XS

Hi folks got a freelander SD4 xs 2011 it is jumping forward in drive putting foot on accelerate auto box is it mass flywheel or box any suggestions ???

What do you mean by jumping forward when putting foot on the accelerator? If it's an automatic, then that's what's supposed to happen. As the throttle is applied, the power increase makes the vehicle move off. An automatic actually wants to creep all the time, so needs to be held on the brake all the time.

It doesn't have a duel mass flywheel, so it that can't be the issue.

But more information on the problem is needed.

Sorry nodge68 there is a delay when i put my foot on accelerator pedal so doesn't creep foward it jumps foward pressing the pedal half way so not responding as soon as its pressed this is every now and then ?mike

This sounds like the intermittent problem the FL2 auto's suffer from occasionally. LR tried to recalibrate the car to get rid of the issue but it doesn't always solve the problem.

When pilling away int Drive it will do nothng, then start to move. There was a workshop instruction telling yer wot they do ter try ter resolve it.
