Freelander 2 radio

Hello there i was wandering if anyone could help, I have a 2007 Freelander 2 and few weeks ago put cd in CD player and it didn’t want to eject it again could just here clicking, the light went off on radio unit got cd out and radio everything still works ok but no illumination!! Anybody any ideas?

When you say no illumination... do you mean there's nothing on the display? No text...

Hey there, there is text there just no lights, on whole radio unit!!

Have yer checked the fuse powering it?
Have yer checked the connections on the rear are still good?
Seems strange it should just die.
