Freelander 2 - power steering

after changing pipes no power assistance. Anyone help?

You will need to tell us everything you did, including the original problem and the problem with the metal disk. Is that blocking the pipes? Have you made sure there's enough power steering fluid?

Original problem was leaking high pressure pipe at steering rack(corroded). When removing pressure pipe from steering rack a small silver disc came out with the pressure pipe. Could I have fitted the silver disc the wrong way round. I have enough steering fluid.

Did you cycle the steering left/right get all air out?

Have managed to fix problem. Steel disc is actually a one-way valve which I fitted wrong way when I put back in.
