Freelander 2 noticeable clunk at slow speed when turning at Sharp corners

We are having a definite sharp,once only, clunk when turning left or right. Only noticed it on sharp corners not gradual bends. No noticeable out of alignment. Tyres not scuffed, not pulling left or right. It tracks true. This is a car we have only had for 12 months, it has about 75000 on the clock. Any advice on potential problem, and possible repair, would be appreciated. Cheers, Alan.

Could be one of the springs, or shocks, even top bearing, maybe try and get it a MOT lift to see if they can recreate the noise for you while it's in the air.

Yes, sounds like it could be a bit too adventurous for a home repair, not that I am unused to working on my vehicles but my toolkit is mainly hand tools now, not heavy lifting so I shall be guided by you and book it into my local repair shop, get it checked out and priced up. Oddly, today I noticed a thump from the rear nearside when setting off turning the corner. Methinks we have bought a pig in a poke. The Freelancer 1 was a nice enough car we bought new. My wife's sister had a 2 so we had to have one as well. Oh dear, second hand vehicles is all about buying somebody else's problems I guess.

Engine/gb mount?

When was the Haldex last serviced?
LR say 150k for service intervals, but 30k is more realistic if it's going to last.

The FL2 is more modern and generally more reliable, however it does suffer from issues with the AWD system, particularly the rear diff which is made out of cheese.
Regular oil changes are the way to keep it from failing too soon, but unfortunately garages go be LR recommended service schedules, so the Haldex, rear diff and PTU fail long before they should do.
Not all second hand cars are bad, but not all are good either.
