Yes I believe it's possible. IIRC the current window blank is just held in place with a bracket, which is in place of the window regulator.

You might need to do some BCU programming though, as there's no need for the BCU to power non-existent rear window motors. ;)

Thanks for that ill remove a door card and take a look I was hoping for an easier fix like a switch or a fuse ☺️ sounds like it is going to be expensive, Thanks for the information

The problem with modern vehicles is the massive amount of electronic integration, so even a minor modification or change can become complicated nightmare.

However it shouldn't be too difficult to fit the switches, fit the motors and see what happens. If nothing happens, then you'll need to get the windows activated on the Controller Configuration Files (CCF) for short. ;)

The switches are all there and so are the fuses I haven't taken off the door card yet that's my next job
If you're lucky, you might find all you need is the motors. If you're really lucky, you might just need to plug in the motors, if they're there already.

That would be fantastic if it was that simple I'll let you know I'm hoping to get the rear cards of at the weekend thanks Nodge :)

Ok, So the wiring is there, the fuses are there, motors are there so is it possible these have been decommissioned through the ECU? I've now got a bigger problem as the nsr door motor has failed and I can't get the window to go down to remove the regulator, Any help on this would be appreciated thanks.

The nsr central locking motor isn't locking or unlocking, But apparently you need the window down to remove the regulator and motor so you can access the central door locking motor/latch

The only way to drive the window motor down is to apply 12 volts to it, but make sure the motor is disconnected from the rest of the wiring first.

Hi Obrienk7, No unfortunately I never got anywhere with it, I got desperate and took it to my local land rover dealer and they said the only way to get the rear windows to go up and down I would need a replacement ECU and coded as required, It apparently cannot be re-Coded as it has been done at the factory and can only be done if the rear seats & Seatbelts are re-fitted and the DVLA would need to change the classification on it to remove it from a commercial, So as you can imagine I was at the end of my road with it and have gave up, If you get anywhere with it that's not too expensive let me know it drives me round the bend as I really need them to go down for the dog

If the motors are actually fitted, then I would think it's possible to get them working. It's possible the driver door module needs replacing, or reconfiguring to allow the windows to work. Once the door module is programmed, it should be a case of altering the CCFs
There are no electrical connections to the rear seats, so no way an module would know if they're fitted or not, other than being told they are fitted prior to programming.

Ah cheers. Yeah same as, got a little space there for the dog... would be great to be able to let the window down... I'll see how I go, not too hopeful by the sounds of things!

It'll definitely need some electronic module configuration, or changes.
