Having spent months, no, years suffering from overheating i have solved my problem.
The last stat that failed was stripped and inspected. I found that the seal ring which opens and closes was yet again stuck, what a surprise, 5 in two years i should be used to it.
The reason they stick is because some clown designed them with a rubber ring on a metal plate which sticks its self to the stat housing.
I found an old stuck stat and did the following.
From larges side hose branch remove stat spring.
At the bottom of the stat is a steel spindle, grab with pliers and pull, this will free the ring from its stuck position, and then, very carefully cut this ring with side cutters and remove from casing. This then means that there is nothing to get stuck.
The heater is not as good as it was and takes longer to heat up but it doesnt ocerpresurize or boil, touch wood.
If any one else has tried this let me know.
all the best.
