Freelander 2.0td4 Occasional blue exhaust smoke

I have noticed that occasionally my 2002 Freelander 2.0 td4 puffs out light blue exhaust gases. It does not seem to do it all the time. 120K klms. Any ideas. Engine does not use oil.

A quick :search: would reveal you may need to just replace the fuel filter
