Freelander 1 Wheel size change

Hi please can anybody advise me I have a 2004 td4 freelander with 17” wheels and I have bought a set of 16” wheels from a 2002 freelander will they fit? Thank you in advance

Hi thank you very much for your reply i have a trials bike rack on the back and I have been going up into wales and going as far as I can in the Landy then taking the trials bike off and playing around on that but I have been loosing traction with my road tyres which are on the 17” wheels I have purchased some 16” wheels with all terrain tyres on which they don’t do for the 17” wheels unless you run a tyre not specified for the car and I have zero knowledge about any of that stuff so I don’t want to mess about with tyre sizes just thought I could straight swop the wheels and sell the 17” wheels I just hope they go straight on without any problems thank you again Ash.
