Freelander 1 td4 won't start!

Hey guys
The starter motor was on its way out and I have replaced it but the engine still won't turn over.
Any help would be much appreciated!

Is your battery flat?

Are the battery/earth connections good?

Is it imobilised?

Is it cranking but won't fire up, or is it just sat there making a clicking noise?

Hmm, you made me ponder there.. IF it is making a 'tutting' noise as opposed to a 'clicking' noise then you probably have marriage issues ....

The battery is fine and it is not cranking.
Luckily there is no tutting!! Haha

No click means no power to the starter solonoid. So that's either a duff starter, a duff starter relay or a faulty ignition switch.

So it makes a click but doesn't crank. That basically means bad electrical connections to the starter or the car body. Or the starter itself.
