Hi All
I am the proud owner of a 03 plate T4 Hippo.
Last time I was out and enjoyed driving my dear Hippo I noticed something odd when I used the brakes.
By pumping the brake pedal it became harder and harder. As it pedal became harder to push the brakes became less effective.
Leaving the brakes in peace and the brakes worked as normal until I pumped the brake pedal again.
Anyone having an idea what may cause this issue? I didnt like feeling the gradual loss of brakes and want to search for the issue causing this. However I have no idea where to start.
Can it be a servo starting to pop or a vacuum leak? Any good ideas good people?

First check all the vacuum hoses as they can and do chaff causing an hole, start from the EGR solenoid and work backwards to the one way valve.

Vacuum depletion will happen with repeated applications of the brakes, as the vacuum pump only has a limit capacity. However this depletion will happen faster, if there's any leaks in the vacuum lines, as suggested by Arctic2 above.

I will have a look. Thanks everyone for all the tips.
A final question. If it turns out to be the one-way check valve which is gone. What is the spare no and what is it called for buying a new one? I can not find it on ebay.
If i am failing finding a new I will have a look in the local brakers yard

It's unlikely to be the one way valve, as the symptoms are wrong. Most likely it's a vacuum leak, either in any of the vacuum pipes, or in the booster diaphragm, but this is rare.
