Try leak back test, or get diagnosed also maybe look at the HPFP regulator O-rings.
I was hoping its not the HP but its the only thing left tbh
I don't have a TD4 but reading the threads on here, if it is the regulator O rings on the HP pump, they are cheap and quite easy to replace.
Yes remove the starter motor which will also give you chance to check the connectors inside any car that has done 75,000 or more will benefit from having the starter connectors replaced another easy job with starter motor off the car.
Alas NO just had to do the jobs a few times so know the in's and out's of certain jobs you need to do, if you own a Land Rover you will soon find out to do the jobs if you are able too,@Arctic2 are you or were you a Land Rover mechanic? You knowledge is always impeccable
