Looking for help please. I have a Freelander 1 which has a Roof Bar attached. After removing it and attempting to re-fit it, I realised a couple of fixings were missing. The bolts are part number CYP100630 which I have. I need the threaded fixings which are rawlplug type items which fit into the pre-machined holes in the bodywork which the bolts screw into.

Does anyone know what they are called, know the part number or where I can buy them?

Many thanks in advance.

Alex

The threaded fixing plate has fallen into the box section I expect.
You'll need to see if you can retrieve it from its hiding place.

Hi Nodge thanks for getting in touch.. you reckon it's a small plate with threaded holes? I've already had a reach down the space but couldn't find anything. I thought it had maybe dropped right down and out of sight and reach. Do you think this plate will be a part I can buy?

Yes. It's a flat plate with some threaded holes in it.

It can't come out the body, we'll not easily anyway. Did you hear them drop when you took the bar's off?

I'm not sure they're available, as they're fitted into the body cavity when the car is made. Even the vehicles without roof bars still have the plates, which are covered with bolted on cover panels, where the roof bar foot would sit.

Strange it falling off. I didn't hear anything at the time. Okay I'll have another look into the cavity. I was looking for bolt fixings before so I could've missed it. Thanks again and I'll let you know if I find it. Cheers

Evening Nodge.. success!! I removed the rear light unit and there it was in that cavity. A small figure 8 shaped piece of metal about 2 inches long and two threaded holes. All back together now. Thanks very much for your help.

Hi everyone on this post I'm a new member and this exact thing has happened to me today on my 2005 3 door. The plate fell into the light cavity but I don't understand how if it's a loose fitting part, how the heck do I refit the roof bars once again? Like would I have to silicone it in place or something.? Thanks for any help
