Whashed the engine. Like a new

I took the heads to rebuild and it came back disassembled. What type of sealant do I use to put the cam carrier back? Loctite 518 (Anaerobe) is compatible?

I've already purchased the gaskets, head bolts, cam belts, seals, and the torque converter seal.

About the torque converter, I drained his entire ATF. Is it necessary to put the new ATF into the torque converter or does it fill up automatically when starting the engine?

I'll post more photos as soon as possible. Every minute I work on the engine is precious (almost 10 minutes a week).

Loctite 518 is fine for all gasket-less seal faces.;)

The TC will fill with fluid as soon as the engine is running. Just run the engine for a minute then top up the transmission, using the correct procedure.

Can I use Dexron VI in Jatco autobox?

In last changes I used Pentosin ATF1, but looking in the forums of the Audi A3 (which uses A09 = JF506e), people used Dexron VI and noticed improvements in the box.

Dexron VI isn't a compatible fluid for the Jatco, although it might work OK.
The best non Texaco fluid that is compatible is Carlube ATF-U. This is about £26 per gallon and far exceeds the original LR specification.

Nice, I´ll check if I find Carlube here.

Today I changed the flywheel oil seal, torque converter seal and reassembled the jatco with the engine and the IRD.
The cylinder heads came back from the grinding, like a new. Tomorrow I'm going buy Loctite 518 to close the camcarrier. I will use synthetic 10W40 oil to lubricate the camshafts.
