As some of you will know I’m having trouble reading data from my Freelander 1 v6 with a Hawkeye. Info displayed doesn’t match that of what would logically be expected. Therefore I would like to compare the data on my Freelander 1 v6 with that of another Freelander 1 v6.

this was done a while ago

hippo, not worried about what codes are in mine, but if you ever find yourself in the vicinity of the dartford crossing, send me a pm and you can happily connect to my td4 auto.

think it's a bit of a long way though...

There was me wondering how I could advertise this more, only to find it’s the top option on google when searching for “Freelander Hawkeye”. The power of Landyzone eh…

Anyways, thanks for the offers so far. I’ll be in Wales at the end of the month, the East side of Snowdon in Bala. Will be travelling through Telford and Shrewsbury on the A5 me thinks.

Does anyone on ere have a Freelander 1 v6 that I could come over and plug in my Hawkeye too? Ideal solution for me would be to film the Hawkeye display as per the video below, as there’s far too much data to remember. With owner consent the video may be edited and added to those on my Youtube account. Personal details, codes and identity numbers etc would be blocked out prior to upload.

As there int that many Freelander 1 v6’s out there, then I may have to opt for a Freelander 1 Td4 auto. It’s not a direct comparison, but at least the auto is the same, which is my main area of interest at the moment. v6 would be the preference, but if an opportunity of a Td4 auto were available it would be nice to film that so others (possibly me in the future) could see what to eggspect. Regardles of v6 or Td4, your Freelander 1 auto gearbox must be able to drive and work ok as an owner would eggspect.

What’s in it for you? You get the chance to see if there’s faults codes in your engine, auto gearbox, security (body electrics), abs and air bag computers. Fault codes can be cleared as well as live data displayed whilst stationary, stationary with engine running or whilst driving. Also some items can be controlled, like air con clutch, cooling fans etc. Hawkeye display should update as data changes. Eg opening a door.

Ideally you’ll be in the West Midlands area, but if needed I can travel a bit further if required. I travel a bit for work so it could be linked with that if needed. Date to be agreed, but it’s likely to be in August as I’ve got a lot of course work to do at the moment.

Interested? Send me a Private Message or post on ere. I will not give out personal details of location etc to others.
