freelander 1.8 wont start

2004 freelander wont start .done head gasket water pump ect. run ok apart form oil coming from cam cover so removed and sealed..now it won't start checked injectors pattern ok ...checked sparks all ok ...done timing again all ok ..when i try and turn it over it smells of fuel under the bonnet...had my code reader on it and just says misfire number 4 and also cam position sensor..can any 1 help me please also done compression test and all 4 a around 125psi is the correct .
