Hi everyone im new to the forum was looking for help woth my freelander and the dreaded 1.8 k series engine. I can not get it started iv checked compression but the problem seems to be that i am not getting fuel to the cylinder as the plugs are dry after cranking. I am getting fuel up to the fuel rail but after that i dont know where the fault is. Are there any common problems such as fuel pressure regulator? Its a 2003 freelander 76000 miles.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks iv introduced myself now. Thanks how would i go about checking that should i just be looking for 12 volts onto injector? Do you know what wire?

Check for a spark when cranking, check for injector pulse when cranking, listen for second pump run when cranking. Then report back:D

Hey thanks for your reply i checked for spark all good checked pump could hear the pump and disconnected from pip to ensure it was pumping was all good. What checks can i all do on injectors? Also is there anyway to check the fuel pressure regulator, i gave it avacume of 18 psi and it wouldnt open but i dont know what pressure they open?

I checked my voltage only getting 10.5v battery is at 12.5. Checked the positive side against a good earth and i get 12.5 checked the earth side against battery positive and i only get 10.5, possibly bad earth somewhere??? Also they are not switch with a noid light.

Any ideas?
