hi my misses has a freelander which has had a front passenger side judder at 30mph,part of the judder involves a grinding sound, ive had a brief look under neath but nothing is visable.
the wheels are tight etc,she took it to a garage who didnt have a clue and tryied saying it was the rear prop.
this does not match up as u can feel its the front passenger side from the vibration plus noise.
anyone have any idears please

Just spent ages locating a similar issue, Quick Check on Grinding noise:
Get under it and tie Wrap the exhaust mount in front of the cat so they are about an inch higher than currently hang. give it a drive ( dont hammer it as liable to do some damage to exhaust middle box) if noise has gone but can still feel judder then prob engine mount above gearbox.
Have Both Changed and get a new exhaust mounting rubber!

well i was taken to our local landrover garage not main dealer they have said its the front left drive shaft, plus surprise suprise the landrover has a small oil leak.
they quoted £325 to fix it (£190 for the drive shaft),im going to change the drive shaft to see if that solves the problem, that wont to be for a few weeks as were skint.
ill let u now if it works
