Also i have recently changed thermostat on my V6, but now its over revving / hunting at tickover ? not very comfortable in auto in traffic??? at its worst 1500/2000rpm,If i put it into N and blip throttle it drops to 1000rpm i realize its prob sucking air?? but im damned if i can find it...what is best place to check on V6
just to say it was great befor thermostat lol so what do guys think i'v DONE? CHEERS DAVE

Dunno about the i930, thought it worked on all Freelanders - might be worth stopping someone in the street and seeing if you can test it of their car to see if its faulty or your motor!

Dunno about the hunting either - but could you have dislodged the wiring to the MAF when you had bits apart - worth checking its all connected OK. I had a D1V8 that had a tendency to hunt at lights, when it started I used to wiggle the connector for the MAF and that sorted it :)

KV6 revving off load is normally air being drawn in from one of the small CV pipes, so check for non connection and cracks. Additionally the IACV is known for sticking. It's best not do drive it until the idle speed is sorted or the gearbox will take a real pounding. No connection with the box ECU is standard on the I930. It just doesn't see it at all. It should see the engine ECU though, unless there's a problem with the OBD2 port.

I'v marked the pipe to check with red dots. The IACV is marked with a green dot.
