Sounds good- but what's the betting if ya go for a puncture repair they'll say they can't repair that because of "xyz" reason and try to flog you a new tyre.:scratching_chin:

Buy yourself a puncture repair kit 30 repairs glue bung stretcher and core cleaner up to 6 mm holes .i have used these for years on bikes and cars you don't even need to take the tyre off .Like above they will only con you into buying a new one .... I'm an ex tyre fitter sales come first for commission !

I've been in the tyre trade for way too long:rolleyes:,

Yes the kit you have is good to get you out the **** but I wouldn't recommend using it as a permanent repair imo as you won't know if its got secondary damage etc.

Yes there are places (fitters) that will rip you off for a sale but not all places(
/fitters are like that some of us just want to do a good job for the customer, also at out place we earn more bonus on the repair we get nothing extra on tyre sales (boo too)

as for National offering "free puncture" repairs its just a marketing ploy to get the car in and offer a "free health check" for the chance to find that worn tyre/ brake pads etc

Nothing for nothing in this life

Supposedly temporary , It used to be okay until Brussels decided that it should be done from the inside of a tire typical, I've never had a problem and if the bung was to come out it would only go down like it did in the first place anyway . I know rules are rules but I'll keep using them anyway they were fine on my motorbikes and my LanRover and my trailer with 90 psi in each tire can't be bad

I don't trust any garage that offers free puncture repairs, winter checks, brake checks blah blah blah.

I fitted all new calipers, discs and pads to a vehicle a good few years back. I then went to my then local fast fitting tyre dealer place (the one that sounds like yer having a rapid poo). I told em that I'd just bought the car and that I wanted one of their free brake checks doing. They called me back after an hour to tell me that it wasn't looking good and that it needed new discs, pads and calipers all round and they could do it for me for £800.

1 question, why?

IF we had a motor come in with all new parts fitted we wouldn't touch it as we don't want to be buying in to other peoples fcuk ups tbh

the amount of people we get in that have "had a go" then come in expecting us to sort it is unreal
