Point is also Keith, that you can run the compressor all year but if the diaphragm is not closing, because of an hard fault, it will never fill tank. That is why i told him to read "How to" and go through checks and get diag from you.

Ok guys, I have taken every thing you have said on board and I now believe Wammers might be on to something...

Before I start a big THANK YOU for the how to.... it's great! :)

Ok so I done all the checks that is in the how to and need to ask, where it say's

"If air cannot be stopped, replace blue pipe and remove exhaust outlet silencer from valve block. White cylindrical screw in unit to rear of valve block. With compressor running place a finger over outlet. If air is escaping, either diaphragm has failed (common fail) or diaphragm solenoid valve (above exhaust port on block) has failed (very rare). If all checks out compressor is making good air and should inflate tank in five or six minutes."

So, I got to the silencer with all being well, undone it and air was pouring out but of course when I blocked it with my finger I could feel it inside, but it wasn't leaking out... am I right in saying the diaphragm has failed and I will need to take it back out and see what's wrong?

Have you cleared the faults? Wammers is the valve block expert but it sounds like the diaphragm.

No the fault is still there at present, I'm guessing it might clear if I'm right in saying it's the diaphragm, but I'll wait for Wammers opinion before stripping it out again.

Until then I'm looking through and trying to cure other problems (that's why we love these cars it just keeps us busy and out of the way lol)

I did buy a cable though, sorry I didn't realise you did them until I got home. I cant access this site at work but can get on fleabay?? stupid I know but still as long as it comes tomorrow and I can play over the weekend Ill be happy lol

No hard fault will clear without diagnostics.

LOL just praying for a quickish fix, I'm far to impatient I just want to get that sorted out and think about taking it for an MOT to see what else is needed, that said it's done just short of 3000 miles in a year which I think apart from maybe a mile at most was all me lol. I got it back with two new tyres though

Until you have diagnostics, you are just guessing.

Oh I see, just for instance it was and I fixed it, do you think the kicker might work?

When the ECU commands compressor on it also opens the diaphragm solenoid and diverts air pressure to underneath of diaphragm to close the port. Air is then sent via drier and NRV1 into tank via Violet coded pipe. If you have an hard fault and you bypass compressor relay, you can run compressor all week and not fill tank, if ECU has not operated the diaphragm solenoid to shut the filling/exhaust gallery off. If you clear the faults and air still comes from exhaust, diaphragm is shot. If not tank should fill in five or six minutes with a door open or car should lift with all doors shut and compressor stop in 10 to 11 minutes.. Kicker knows nothing about mechanical faults.

Yeah lets hope it turns up tomorrow, Ill be back to let you know how I get on, but right now she's going to drag me to spin..... I think I must of put on too much weight at Xmas lol

Well I'm going to have to wait until Monday now as it has not turned up:mad2:

In the mean time, I have stumbled across this suspump could that be of any use to me??

Wait for the diag to come, if you don't know what you are doing, start buggering about like that and you are in for a world of pain.

Well I'm going to sort that out as soon as I can sort this out!! it's a must by all accounts lol

Ok so what a bad 24hrs this has been. I got back a 19:30 last night after a hard days graft to find my lead and CD.. whoop whoop. So straight away I was out there chucked the battery back in the old girl (thought I'd give her the best chance as I'd been playing around whilst just sitting there) to find "Key Code Lock Out" so a quick scout on here found out I had to wait half hour and put the code in..... Which I didn't have!!
A further scout about found a suggestion of code 1515 still no joy even after trying four clicks to the left first. A couple more attempts and it was bed time
So today went to LR got the code still NO JOY, I decided to try buying new batteries for the fob, changed them and then, yes you guessed it the key wouldn't work!! back to LR bought a new back part to the fob he tested it on his machine and hey presto it was working again! and then he gave me some instructions and hey presto lock out code gone, engine disabled gone and it started up! I didn't even have to put the EKA code in result.
So now I've been trying to get this EAS suite to work when I initialize it.. it stays red and says not good idle?.. I'm going to try a few other ports now and see if I get any joy (just popped back in to charge the laptop up a bit... But I would appreciate it if you have any ideas!!
