Sadly after three weeks of exposure in the for sale section my '87 RRC has not attracted any interest from Landy-Zoners so I shall be contacting my chosen auctioneers tomorrow (Monday) with a view to consigning it to a mid September auction in Bicester.
Perhaps I should have stated a definite price, but then & again I was open to offers. I will post the auction details inc. reserve price once the booking has been accepted

Thanks to all who took the trouble to read the ad.
 
The best (& if it sells, the last) of four RRC's owned over the last 19 years.
Daft I know, but I always record all expenses (except fuel) incurred by any car I/we own, so an outlay of nearly 9k over the 12 years, then adding in VED, Ins. & MOT fee means the car has cost/is costing me just short of £100 per month which is a lot for a pensioner when the motor only covers between 1,500 & 2,000 miles a year, far less this year with all the classic car shows cancelled.

The car was used for the first time today after standing for 30 days … fired at the first turn of the key :( Selling is a difficult decision.

What are you hoping to get for her?

I work (and haven't stopped this year) but have to admit I haven't moved the cars much this year. I could easily manage with 1.

Thank you for asking. Difficult question, my insurers had no problem with an agreed value of 20k & I've had a local restorer value the car (from a description by someone who knows both them & the car) for the same amount. The last time I checked Haggerty it was 23k.
But at the end of the day anything is only worth what someone is prepared to pay ;)
Either way it's got to realize five figures or I can see the old girl staying with me.

nb. I've put the auction contact on hold for the present, but the route remains an option. The eventual approach of winter may sharpen interest in 4x4's
