RRC for sale> Item # 275378600206 on the 'Bay (sorry, I can't figure out how to link the ad.)
1970 tax/test free ?
'Ere I don't think so sunshine

Certainly didn't get 5 doors in the 70s
And the leather seats. I had a 1972 with a full width rear seat and the vinyl had gone brittle and disintegrated. My idea was to do a body swap from a 1991, but I ended up getting a new hobby before I even started and it ended up just sitting in a yard for about 5 years slowly deteriorating until I sold it for almost twice what I paid for it!

And the chassis. That won't be 70s either, would be too short. Given its MOT history, i best the body and chassis were replaced, along with the running gear then the vin plate put back on.
Pretty sure they didn't have abs in the 70s?

Thought the wheel base was the same for all years 100”
LSE were 107”

as for the eBay motor looks up to a K reg(changed filler positions) when TDI arrived

you're right.. sorry, i was convinced the 5 door was longer!
The chassis from 1970 to 1995 was identical the LSE had the 108in wheelbase which is shared with the P38, the length being the only thing, the P38 chassis is not related to the RRC chassis, thankfully ;)

As for length the 2dr body and 4dr body is the same length too at 175in ;)

LR was a bit crafty here as the LSE was, effectively, a test bed for the forthcoming P38; chassis length/air susp./longer stroke V8 etc. Those owners who bought them took any problems to the main stealers under warranty, who in turn fed the info. to LR.

nb. the RRC for sale has at least an '88 > shell.
4 door only from '81 & the hinges show it's at least late 'eighties ;)
