My footwells are in need of some welding and I'm wondering if it's best to just replace the whole things? If I do replace them can these be welded with the bulkhead still attached or is it best for them to be done with the bulkhead off?

I've made a start on stripping out the dash so taking the dash out isn't an issue, would just rather not have to take the bulkhead off.

Cheers

I've just patched mine, in situ, by hacking a yrm footwell and cutting out the rotten bit. However, it's only a temp fix for me while I save up to have the bulkhead refurbished, although I am starting to think about doing the job myself.

Can't afford a rear crossmember and bulkhead in the same month :(

Recently did my footwells, was going to buy the replacements ,but once I cut the rusty bits out and cleaned them up ,they wasn't actually too bad so got away with welding a plate in:)

I replaced mine with DA6100 & DA6101 bit of a pain to replace them but was worth it. Not that expensive either.
