Passive immobilisation started in 1996. TA316176 and up. But leaving keys in ignition with ignition off at a petrol station or anywhere else with a strong WIFI signal can cause the fob to loose sync.

This beastie is TA 3428** so it's presumably got the passive dohickie. any one got any information on a reasonbly prices device for accessing and altering the BECM, testbook is way out of my price range. Ta

Try looking on the rescue map for a person local to you with a Nanocom or similar for your vehicle.
There was a chap that hired one out (with a huge deposit to guarantee its safe return).
Good luck.

Nanocom is the device of choice on here. Faultmate if you have money to spare. There's Hawkeye and Lynx too but not sure if the last 2 are as comprehensive.

Nanocom is the only way to go. Faultmate is expensive and does not a lot more apart from connecting to a laptop for a bigger display.
