The guy who owned my 110 prior to me put some good quality 3mm chequer plate on the bonnet and wings so you can clamber around on the front of the vehicle to get to the roof rack.

It's foam backed and I am after some sill protectors but have no idea where it came from and have been unable to track it down.

Anybody have any ideas? Has it come from Patriot like the roof rack?

You can also buy sheets of the doubled sided sticky foam thats used for them, infact I need to find some to replace my runner on the Disco (Diesel fuel eventully broke the glue up) so if I find it I will let you know.

Sorry if this sounds stupid ( Im a novice ) but why do you need the chequer plate foam backed ?
Is there a practical/benefit reason for this ?
thanx

...and why do you need chequerplate to clamber around on the bonnet? Never had any, never stopped me clambering!
