Hi All,

My 3 week old Defender, well 3 weeks to me 16 years since built, keeps me asking questions!!

It's a 200TDI and been on my first motorway trip with the family, very interesting, 70mph and the steering became a little vague, what fun.

Anyway after or run over to Mancunia, when I came to slow down and stopped at lights the oil light came on/flickered! Checked oil level no problems there. Any suggestions? I'm hoping it's one of the many quirks of my new found fun mobile!!!!

boyd what sorta state is your old passenger side wing that you took off? cos after my rolling incident, mine is loookin a bit worse for wear! if yours is in reasonable okish condition, and is in godstone not wales!, i might drive up and give you a few quid for it if thats ok!!

It can be in s godstone from the 3rd of september if thats any good, let me know 'cos its going for scrap on tues otherwise.

If im honest though, its pretty poor. It was a series 3 wing that the old owners hacksawed to fit, it has dents all down the top edge of it, and when bolted in it pulls that corner of the car down, so the grill doesn't sit straight, and the bonnet looks like its not shut properly.

You are welcome to it if you want, it worked happily as my wing for 18 months, just let me know, and as i said i can bring it down for you on the 3rd sep. Do you still need any steering/axle joints/rods etc?

Boydy
