Flashing engine managment - Shakey feeling

Engine light started flashing engine feels abit juddery / shakey ticking noise from engine bay

possibly spark plugs etc?

I had this exact problem with my 2000 1.8 petrol, was the coil pack breaking down, replaced them both and no further problem
