So what’s the difference between these two relays please? I ordered a PRC8876 as a direct replacement, but got sent the Lucas SFB191 as a compatible part. Whilst it’s fixed my fuses blowing, it’s missing the ‘+5w & +2x5w’ part. Is this for the trailer socket circuit?

Looking at the Lucas. The 6x21w is for all the indicators Like when you put on the hazards.
It should work ok without the 5w.
It's hard trying to get a relay that works on the early motors.

I’ve fitted it for now as I need indicators, but the trailer tell-tale lamp now flashes with the indicator tell-tale and I’m not sure how it’d function with the trailer attached ( could just try it I suppose! ). I’ll just get one that matches the numbers on the original and see what happens.

Trailer tell tale should/does flash once when indicating normally.
When the trailer is connected it creates more resistance & this will then flash the indicator & tell tale together.

It used to flash once and then off and not at all when the trailer was connected. I’m going to investigate further as I’ve just been out and the trailer tell-tale is only about 1/2 as bright as the indicator. I’ve got some new indicator assemblies arriving so I’ll clean up the trailer socket at the same time.
Thanks for the input.
