flasher help ( to fast with no bumper )

done a search but cant find help
1995 disco 300tdi
have made new tube rear bumper so done away with bumper lights
so now my indicators flash to fast , do i need a 200tdi flasher unit or any other help please

the system needs a bulb at the front and one at the rear, as does the law

Yu useless git 300tdi disco has light cluster in the body and a "3rd" set of indicators and brake lights in the bumper. Remove the bumper and you still have the rear body mounted lights/indicators.


The cure to stop the rapid flashing is one of the following

Resistor in the wiring plug
fit a bulb and hide the all thing inside the disco
Get a small pair of indicators off a moped or similar and mount to new bumper
fit a 200tdi flasher relay as it is set to only use 2 indicators..

The 200tdi ones go in the rear 1/4 panel

So does 300TDi ones anorl

Mine are only in the bumper

Look on eBay for a ballast resistor, wire one in each side, works perfect, that's what I did!

300,s seem to have any combination of indicaters in bumper, up in the body or both......either ex factory or buggered about with by a previous owner.

Just change the little thinggy me bob in the wotsit (fusebox)

You can attach a load resistor to the wire to where the bulb was that you have removed - one per bulb removed...something like this:-

and that will get rid of the rapid flash, as this is what I used when I switched my front ones to LED clusters, and what I will be using when my custom LED lights go in the rears - still trying to find the time to finish them off and get em fitted.

As far as I know there is no relay that will fit the disco to elimate the rapid flash - would be good if there was - I have tried one and it never worked....

Oh and i have no connection with this seller....these are just the ones I know that work.

but my statement was correct.
why the heck would i know about the 300 lights when i have the far better D2 TD5
