Hello all.
Looking for a service kit for my 03 TD4. Any recommendations welcome. The stuff on *b*y seems to vary widely in price and so Presume quality. I always use a good quality oil just need the right service kit to go with it.
Cheers all.

The one below will do fine, then add a fuel filter also below sometimes you can find the kits which already have the fuel filter added but they then get more expensive.

Check fuel filter as they changed in 2003 - some in engine bay and bigger diameter than the under rear wheel arch ones.

Indeed. So that raises a new question! Does high quality oil and 12k changes help the engine more or less than more frequent, say 5k, changes with a cheap but compliant oil?? Let's have a non meaningful vote!! That is U.K humour GG with our political mess.....

I change my oil twice a year what ever mileage I have done, once in the spring then Autumn 5/30 fully synthetic for my FL2 if I had the FL1 it would be 10/40 semi synthetic.

So my vote remains twice a year, even though I want out

It's going to take me 3 years to decide about my oil then I'll ask a load of muppets and then I'll fill it with water !!!

I do about 7K miles per year, and service it annually. I get whatever 5w40 fully synthetic oil is on offer at the time.
It was this last year.

Next year, the oil used will probably be a different brand.

Hello Nodge68.
Will keep an eye out for that. Never thought of ASDA doing oil. I'm told that as long as it meets the spec, as in, the numbers on the rear as well as the front your good to go. The standard set out for the engine.
Cheers Nodge.

I'm sure that's where I got the oil in the picture. I think it was £12 for 5 litres, which is a bargain.

All modern oils will far exceed the old spec listed for the FL1, so as long as you get oil where the spec letters are higher, it'll be fine. ;)
