FL1 drums - adjuster bar

Got a FL1 TD4 project and I'm building the back breaks with all new parts. One question though: which way should the adjuster bar's other end be? It has like two legs and there are longer and shorter one. I built the brakes like the old ones were but that is not necessarily the right way

If you're talking about the forked ends, then the longer fork goes on the outside, to help keep the shoes against the back plate, and make inserting them easier.

Always good to put a spot of copper grease on the back plate where the show rests.

And clean the back plate.

And don't forget the adjuster is handed so different for each side.

The best check is that pushing the ratchet the correct way should make the adjuster longer.
