FL 2 Smoking?

UK spec Freelander 2's dun't have fool burning heaters. It was only available ont export market FL2's int certain countries. It would have ter be an after market fool burning heater if fitted. A pointless mod when the electric heater will be quicker.

Yer can see the turbo and bits around it by looking from the drivers front wheel, towards the engine through the holes in the plastic where the steering control arm things go through from.the wheel. Carry a torch ter see in there. And a fire extinguisher.

When it's cold and switched oft get yer hand in there to feel fer slippy surfaces which could be oil or diesel. If yer take the engine under tray oft, look fer liquid stains ont tray and when lying under yer hippo un looking up.

Update... I went to LR main dealer today and they’ve given me a copy of the build spec. I don’t have a fbh, but instead a secondary electric heater so it’s not that smoking. I also showed them the video and they think oil on the exhaust.

I put a piece of cardboard under the air intake pipe that runs across the engine, slightly to drivers side overnight last night and this morning there was a drip or two of oil on the cardboard.

Car is now booked into the garage (that did turbo) at the end of April to check all pipes & seals that are anywhere near the manifold/ exhaust.

I WILL get this sorted and you guys have been amazing and pushing me in the right direction.

Thank you
I hope to post at the end of the month that it’s fixed! :)

Glad yu got the “ do I , don’t I” q resolved. Yu know for future.
Did the garage say why they replaced the turbo as there is still leaking?
