Fitting vacuum pump

Can any of you experts advise me about fitting a vacuum pump to my defender 90 300 tdi please, is it a DIY job or a lot more technical than that?

its a diy job if yer capable of doing it yerself otherwise its not

C'mon Slob,elp the bloke.Pull the pipe off the pipe on the pump,then remove the 10mm headed bolts and pull the pump off,clean off all the old gasket and refit the new pump with a new gasket and a very small smear of silicone sealant.It helps to turn the engine over so the cam lobe is not pushing out the pump.(makes it easier to get the bolts in) Reconnect the vac pipe and you are away.I am assuming you already have the air filter out of the way.

jings its a straight forward job.. take old one orf and put new one on..
