Went out lamping this eve and had a tree branch punch out my nearside rear side window. Easy fix? Planning on going to the scrapper as they`ve had a few discos in of late.
How easy is it to remove a window then refit in my vehicle. Looked on Paddocks and couldnt find a price for new, or the window i want on their searcher. Is it economically sensible to buy a new one?

Cheers Guys.

its easy, you dont even need to remove the door, the top frame around the window comes out and allows to slide the window up and out..

there's 2 bolts near the door lock, i think there's another on the front..have a look, I cant remember exactly where the bolts are, but it's an easy job

Its in. Rubber first then push the glass into the top, which leaves only half the glass to get in. I ran round it with a pointed piece of + section plasic covered in fairy.
:)

a peice of string is what ya need lads......good strong string place it in the rubber groove where the body will be ( obviously after youve fitted the rubber round the glass)
best to stop n start ya tails in the corner... present the glass from the inside to one corner to start it keep the tails of the string on the outside... get ya mate to push on the glass as you slowly pull the tails towards you... this will lift the rubber edges n glass will go in smoothly.... no wedgin no pokin ( usually with a screwdiver to hand) and therefore no trips back to scrappers... for another peice of glass
