Well, today i decided to fit the rock sliders...
first taking the sills out...not too dificult but most of the bolts holding it snapped...not bothered as they arent going to be used again..

Anyway, fitted the one on the right, was easy, but seems like it should go further in?

not sure, looked at some pics and they all seem to be like this... could go further in if it wasn't for that bit just under the bulkhead..

then tried to fit the left one... no fking chance!! the tube thingy at the back is very corroded inside and the tube from the slider, just wont slide in.. tried hammering it in, but no luck, so sprayed some ACF50 inside and I've left it like that... any ideas how to make this slide in?

Mine look much the same as the OP but it may be due to the tank guard to. you need to clean out the inside of that outrigger to fit it. get a wire brush in there and clean it all out.

wiltshireman - Thye reason why the right one didnt go in further, is because it touchs that bit under the bulkhead (3rd pic).... maybe I need to push the back further in?
The right slider went in the tube, just fine, i actually pushed in too far in and then had to pull it out so it would look straight comparing to the front... but has the front cant go any further in.. it had to stay like that.

I like the idea of a bit on a end of a drill... will have to give it a go...but has to be a really long rod to get to the end of it, or at least halfway, as the tube off the slider is quite long..

got the sliders off ebay, they are Guardian with jackable holes, paid £100 for it.. :D and they are brand new, not even a scratch on them. :D :D

if you go with using a reaming cutter in a drill make sure the drill has a clutch as if the cutter snags the drill will turn snapping a wrist, not nice!
