Hey all,
Im somewhat of a novice when it comes to working on the car. Just wondering if fitting the hoses is something that can be easily done by a novice? Or shall I get someone that knows what they are doing to do it?

Cheers anth

The very fact that you're asking shows that you're a sensible novice. I'd suggest that you do it, but get a sensible non-novice to check it over when you've finished.

Cheers for that, I have a friend that is a mechanic and has been promising to come do it but he's been busy, so I suppose I could always do it and ask him to find time to check it like you say :). YouTube will become my friend I think

your main problem will probably be undoing the unions to change the flexi's. A slight bit of heat from a plumbers soldering torch will help just go real easy with it as brake fluid boils and if it gets too hot it will pop the flexi and spray fluid everywhere and it's really nasty on your skin when it goes. so work your way up the heat if you need it don't just torch the hell out of it. also a good cleaning and penetration fluid will assist safer than heat. only use the heat as a last resort and very carefully.
