I now know I should have purchased an XS model but does anyone know if possible to retrofit ABS and traction control to a 110 defender

Why?

If it works as well as the rest of the car it will be broken in a month!

Simplicity is key with land rovers

Like shifty said. you can but it will cost ££££'s

I pull up to 3 ton in trailer and found it skids when braking and also pulling loaded trailer across muddy ground is difficult thought abs and traction control would help. Your comments are interesting as dealer says cannot be retrofitted. Need to check out cost of conversion.

I would have thought a pair of locking diffs or quaife diffs would be cheaper than just the parts for traction control.

My abs module for my TD5 Disco was over £1200 alone never mind all the sensors etc.

I've got it on my fender and my dads 90 doesn't and the feedback I have had is that they both pull the same, the only time it is slightly helpful in is the snow but a set of decent off road tyres should solve that, I had a dodgy sensor in mine and the new sensors for the rear was about £200
