Hi all,

I have just purchased a SKYTAG (GPS Tracker) with the discount code LRO12 which came out at 129.99. Spoke to a helpful man there called 'Guy' and he advised that the unit could be connected via the interior light as needs a positive and negative (or was that earth?!?) Anyway - He said installation would take about an hour - If that. Called up one of their recommended garages 'www.brownchurch.co.uk' and they quoted 3 hours at a total of £216... They're having a laugh right?

Tempted to just do it myself. Has anyone had experience of these? Have any pictures?

Just had a spate of Defenders stolen in the London area and thinking the Clutch Claw and Stop Lock could do with some support...

No - I am not associated with SKYTAG - Feel free to research my long history of moronic questions to back this up...

Cheers.

£216 sounds steep

Thought the clever bit was where you hid it rather than the wiring

Giver Ryder a shout/PM (this stuff is his line of work) and I'm sure he'll advise

Just got called by the Guy chap (having seen my post) and he found a garage - AJD land Rovers. £60 + VAT. If it gets it done right though then I'm happy. Last thing I want is for it to be forecasting the weather due to my mechanical skills...

This is my 100th post.

Woop. :biggrin1:

AJD is near me. I've used them a few times for parts. They seem ok. Only problem with sky tag is that you can't track it. Only the company can track it after you have a crime number. I'm sure you can get a better solution for cheaper that you can track yourself.

They offer a service where you can track it yourself... To be honest... It notify's me when the vehicle is stolen and then they coordinate with the police. Yes they need to track it with a crime number but you get one of those instantaneously when you speak with the police and it just means SkyTag have a reference for the case. It's had good write ups and does what I need it to.
