Hi everyone, i have just recently purchased a series 1 discovery (1995) and i have also purchased a genuine hydraulic rear step. Does anyone know how to fit this? :)

Hello

underneath the floor about a foot back on the chassis (where the towbar if fitted is secured) use the passenger side one for obvious reasons also you should have a seperate bracket for the cylinder/damper top to connect to this goes on the rear mount which holds the body to the chassis you may find it easier to connect the bracket to the cylinder/damper before you fix it to the chassis:)

hope this points you in the right direction

Have a look on the RAVE CD mate. It has a huge section of it dedicated to geniune accessory fitting. A good download anyway, like a haynes manual but with all the added technical stuff.

If you have a ganders round you should find it easy enough :)
