Somewhere after the fuel filter, in the injection pump feed line would probably be your best bet, what you need it for?

thanks for the replies

just want it for a bit of security had the land rover broken into on the weekend.they pulled the dash off and had the wires off the ignition.but I had taken the relay for the glow plugs out so I think thats how they couldnt take it.

Morning Faff

With regard to the Fuel cut-off why not behind your left foot in the bulk-head so that its to hand to turn of / on when you sit in the vehicle

If its security i.e - isolating the vehicle youre aiming for why not fit a battery isolator switch

put it where you can turn-it & walk away - ideally without having to open the bonnet.

on mine i have a battery mounted behind the main bulhead and the switch is close to the cab so i can turn the whole vehicle off and walk away when parked in town.

A possible logical postion may be in the area around the transmission tunnel / gear change area.
just one thing when your running your cable to a switch mounted anywhere near the transmission tunnel make sure its well secured against the body - as the last thing you want is the cable coming into contact with a a splinning prop-shaft or a hot transmission case

hope the info helps

PS as it seem little hands are already in doing damage - have you thought of a dummy alarm sensor (a little flashing red light) put it into the top of the dash and should make people think twice about tampering with your vehicle if they think its "armed"

LED Red Flashing Dummy car alarm with switch NEW light - eBay Other In-Car Ents GPS, In-Car Entertainment GPS, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 15-Oct-07 19:13:58 BST)

PPS mine will start quite happly without Heat (ie. the glow plugs not on)
