I am at last giving in and going to fit an all singing all dancing Dab radio. (Kenwood KDC-BT48DAB Bluetooth DAB Car Stereo)

I thought I would initially, install the windscreen aerial that comes with the radio until I can find the time to install something better, assuming the windscreen one is not very good.

1) I assume the FL windscreen is not one of those that blocks radio / sat nav signals?
2) As the FL windscreen is wider than most cars, will that be a problem for a windscreen aerial?
I have never used one before.

I have heard some talk about the heated windscreen sometimes causing problems with reception due to the fine wires laminated between the glass causing interference. Check if yours has this option.

I don't have a heated windscreen.

I suppose I will just have to fit the aerial and try it. It's not as if it will take much of my time. I just hope it only has to connect to one side of the screen pillar and not both as the windscreen is wider than most.
