Trying to help a friend out here...

We are trying to fit a front Brooklands bumper to a 93L (which wasn't originally fitted with one)

Does anyone know if we need to cut the lower part of the front wing to allow it to fit? It looks like we do, but, not 100% sure and don't want to start cutting stuff we're not meant to!

(yes i did a search and didn't find an answer, so, apologies if this is a regularly asked question)

put these bumpers on many years ago what a pain in the arse lol looked nice nice very nice but hassle no cutting required from memory ... took them off again when I got some lovely chrome bumpers even nicer

Hi, just seen this thread...
If you've bought the after market Brooklands GRP bumper units the fitting is slightly to the original ones.
I fitting a replacement front Rimmers copy to replace a genuine one about 18 months ago. The mouldings / fit of the copy ones is a bit **** to say the least! The front bumper needs light cutting to match the profile of the front wings just below each wing indicator. Mine needed about 10mm off each inside end before it even thought about fitting.
Overall, build quality of the copies isn't great. If I were doing it again I'd probably layup to extra glass on the inside at key points particularly around the front headlight/indicator area where mine was very thin (and has since cracked a little :( ....
Good luck with it
