Hi can anyone tell me!. If it is an easy task to fit a Satnav screen into a L322 which has no screen.Cheers. If possible, you can have my old display free.

if you have a HSE without the satnav screen you CANNOT fit the large satnav screen in to your vehicle as you car has a completely different wiring loom if you really want a screen up front your best bet is to either fit an aftermarket system or fit a custom carpc

It IS technically possible but it's also a shed load of work which would involve replacing the entire infotainment loom, a lot of modules and then you would also need a Faultmate to enable it all.

There is a thread here which describes how one bloke is doing exactly this, i.e. fitting Jag based infotainment to a pre-2005 L322. Just looking at the pile of parts makes me feel a bit queezy to be frank.

I can tell you from personal experience that just adding the navigation to a 2007 HSE was a pretty major undertaking and all that required was an over loom, the DVD drive and enabling with faultmate. Had the dash top off, all the seats and carpets out and a soldering iron was required. Not something I'd do again.

EDIT. Having said all that, I did read somewhere (probably the BMW forums) that adding the non touch screen nav (BMW based) to the pre 2005 HSE was do-able but it does involve looms from a 7 series I recall.
