Hi everyone. I'm new to Defender ownership and know absolutely nothing!!
I've bought a 64 plate Puma which has had some Twisted ish parts fitted but I really want to trim the interior in leather etc and fitted sportier seats. Appreciate some die hard out there will be gasping for air at the thought of this but would appreciate any advice. I've looked at a few companies and the prices range for OK to outrageous! Wondering if anyone had done similar and any recommendations.

Congrats on getting the dream defender. However step ONE has to be upgrade the security, fit a decent alarm and get a DECENT GPS tracker fitted. LRO rate the defender as one star for "theft of" and "theft from" for a reason!! They may be brilliant motors, but they are VERY desireable and now you've got one you want to hang on to it.

Thanks mate. In hand. I've got a ground anchor from my old motor bike days so if they try to drag it they will take half the drive. Should make tracking them easier!

Well a defender can pull the side of a house down, so make sure it is a big ground anchor! Heaviest thing i ever towed with my defender was a fully laden 10 tonne Scania lorry which was beached in some guys driveway. Bit of a struggle getting it off the concrete ramp it was wedged on, but managed it!

Bloody hell! It's immobilised, it's alarmed, it has a tracker and it will bolted when I can. I had a 911 years ago and I didn't do half of this. Mind you it's cooler than the 911!

As most thefts these days include keys, I would recommend a simple hidden switch isolating the fuel solenoid! If it won't run with the keys, it's not half as desireable

If you want your car trimmed in leather, I know someone who specialised in this work, she works mainly on LR stuff, based in Birmingham

Any advice/recommendations regarding the trimming is welcomed. The reviews are terrible for Exmoor trim but you never know if there is another side to the review. The other company I was thinking of is Supertweeks but they never answer the phone so a bit of doubt there.. They're in N London so are quite close. Twisted are soooo expensive as are LRI down in Rye. It's a mine field!!!

Speak to Karen Bee, she the trimmer/machinist, she works out of 'Black Country 4x4' .... or go see her at one of the Land Rover shows, she attends them.
