After years of lurking here and not having enough cash to buy something....
I managed to get myself a Discovery on eBay for what seems like a good price.

S reg, Discovery 2, 2.5 TD5.
Interior is a bit of a state with the roof lining sagging and a big rip in the drivers seat, the drivers footwell was also wet but I’m hoping against hope that’s just because it was raining and the sellers shoes were wet when he was driving it.....
Radio is missing, wheel arches, door edges and windscreen edges all have what seems to be surface rust, fingers crossed it’s nothing much more.
A couple bits of bodywork are missing and a rear light is loose.

But the engine seems to run sweet, starting first turn of the key and all the electrics work.

My plans are to tidy it up, fix the rust and make it a nicer place to be when driving.
I also want to turn it into a crew vehicle for transporting people and kit to filming jobs.
So suggestions of ways to make the boot area more secure and better layed out would be welcome.
Also a way to make it a bit of a power station as well for battery chargers, lights, a kettle etc.

Unless there’s serious issues with it that I can’t see, in which case it’ll have to be sold on to someone who can deal with them.
Chassis issues, welding etc, are well out of my skill range and I don’t even have the tools to consider looking at that stuff anyway.

Fingers crossed!

hi the first thing i would look at is the rear of the chassis and the condition of the chassis in general as thats where disco 2 seems to fail my mate has broken up a few and its very suprising to see the amount of rot on them good luck it looks a decent one though ;)
