Filters help plz

Hi folks lookin for 2 items of advice please , firstly is the turbo vent filter and EGR air vent filters the same filter ??or are they two totally different seperate filters??
Also i am looking to change my 2003 TD4 diesel fuel filter could anyone tell me the part number or show me one off ebay which is where i am looking to buy ??

not sure which one is the egr vent filter, not heard of that.

however, there is a turbo vent filter which hangs down loose behind the engine on a piece of rubber hose, looks like a petrol filter which should be open to atmosphere

and the critical one is the crankcase breather filter which is on top of the engine, under the big plastic cover, just in front of the injectors, looks like a toilet syphon from above.

there a few good threads on here about crankcase breather filters and the bmw upgrade for it which means it never needs changing again !

I think you are talking about the Vacuum vent that EGR suction uses to operate. That one is open with no filter, usually hanging close to the Turbo vent (with filter) that the uninitiated think it should connect to.

The other end of the pipe connects to the EGR vacuum control valve, so don't know why people call it a turbo vent filter.
The open ended metal pipe next to it is the breather for the IRD.

so should i replace the EGR and turbo vent or just one of them??wots ure reccomendment ty
