filling up

at the fuel station today,feeling rich,decided to fill my disco up,all was going well till I hit 90 litres,quick thought disco holds about 90 litres and I had fuel in tank look underneath fuel is pouring out both sides of the landy,drive home very gently, take the inspection cover off and the fuel pump is happily bobbing up and down,the retention collar(or whatever you call it) was not sealing the pump to the tank,bet I get more mpg now lol

Petrol or diesel? Didn't you smell it?

It is a diesel,normally only put about £20 in at a time it is only a toy and no I did not smell anything.

That's happens all the time at pumps does it not, that why theres always the smell of diesel and sand every where for me to stand on when I fill up.
